The Wright's came over for a BBQ...the guys & kids played on the swingset, football, & frisbee in the backyard.
Ryan & Cutter throwing the frisbee.
Savannah & Peyton played wuth the kitchen/dishes in Savannah's room....both are really into the kitchen thing right now!!!
We started a new project of remodeling our den/office into another bedroom. We packed up all the stuff and Joe took down all the shelves...next we will patch holes, sand walls, remove cabinets, then prime & paint the paneling...update coming when we get more done!

Princess Savannah! Aug. 19, 2008

Grandma & Josh blew up this bed for Savannah. She slept in Princess style the whole week at Grandma's house...she loves being treated like the princess she knows she is! Grandma always has fun things for the kids to do. Savannah likes the water and the little pool!
Savannah loves horse riding!

Hangin' Out at Parkers - FHE Aug. 18, 2008

Grandma took Savannah for a ride on a special bike with Bro. Fleisher...he designed the bike. She was scared at first, but loved it when they got going! She has the need for speed!
All the grandkids love jumping on the trampoline...especially with Grandpa! He holds under their arms and they go really high. Savannah was laughing so much when he was jumping with her, she got flimsy in the legs!

The neighbor brought over her new little dog. Savannah loves dogs! Especially little ones. She will have to take that up with her dad...
Cousins trying to share (or not) the slide. It is a favorite!

Mindy Warren and her daughter Jane came to swim with us too. Jane is almost one.
Jana, Savannah and Sydney: this was Sydney's first time swimming. She looked so cute in her little leopard suit with matching leopard wrap!
Nick and Miranda

Visit to Salem - Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008

Joe's brother, Jeff and new baby Spencer Kimball Glenn. (4 weeks)
We went and visited Grandma & Grandpa Glenn in Salem. They BBQed chicken and we had delicious corn on the cobb. Jeff, Anna, Josh, Andrew, Joey and Spencer came to visit with us. It was fun to see them again.
Playing in the backyard with cousin Joey. Dishes and hard hats! What more could a girl ask for?
Savannah and Andrew: she loved that Bob the Builder hat! She wouldn't let anyone else wear it!

OHS Class of '98 Reunion - Aug. 16, 2008

My ten year HS reunion happened to be when we were visiting Utah! So, Mindy and I took our kids the park for the picnic...Savannah decided to step and sit in a HUGE mud puddle while we were walking into Scera Park. She was hysterically upset so that is why she is only wearing a diaper & shirt... because her shoes & shorts because they were covered in mud! It was laughable afterward, but at the time.....hmmm....not so funny! Mindy's daughter, Jane, is climbing in her stroller to keep entertained while Savannah picks grass and puts it in a pile on the blanket.
One of my best buds, Mindy Warren and I went to the reunion dinner together. It was so fun to hang out with her and Dale....Dale is a fast driver (especially when I made us late for the dinner!) Thanks to my sister Jess for the pedicure, hair-do and letting me borrow her new dress to my reunion!
One of my best pals from HS, Jill Parra was at the reunion with us. We hadn't seen each other for 6 yrs. It was so fun to catch up and now we can keep in touch! We had a great time.
Jill, Mindy, Jana, Terri and Andrea. All girls I was good friends with in high school. It was interesting to see what everyone is doing now and how we all turned out okay...even after the crazy high school years together!

Congrats, Jeff & Amy! Friday, Aug. 15, 2008

My brother Jeff and his wife Amy both graduated with Bachelor degrees from BYU! Here we are at their apartment for refreshments after their ceremony.
Aunt Julie, Miranda and Samuel were all taking turns helping hold Sydney. They were so gentle and loved holding the baby.

Dessert - the best part of any meal!

On Friday we met Julie, Nick and kids at the park in SF for lunch. Savannah really enjoyed it...especially the donuts and chips! (and playing with cousins, Uncle Nick & Grandpa)

Happy Birthday Jeff! Wed. August 13, 2008

Jeff had a party at Freedom Park. We ate pizza and sang and ate cake an ice cream.
The little cousins: Miranda, Samuel, Savannah and Lily (and some random kid in the green shirt?!?) played together at the playground while the others played Ultimate Frisbee. Grandma got down and helped them make piles with thewood chips.
So fun to have cousins to play with!!!!!
Grandma Parker, Jana & Sydney, Julie & Samuel, Jess & Savannah, Jake & Lily
It's so nice to have someone else follow Savannah around!! She walked the whole perimeter of the park while Grandpa & Grandma took turns following her. I think we should start calling her the wanderer or explorer...

Thanksgiving Point Farm - Tues. August 12, 2008

The girls and I flew to SLC to visit family. The flight went well thanks to a grandma-person who held Syd while I got Savannah on & off the plane. What a relief...on the way to Orem we met everyone at the farm.
We all took a ride on the horse-drawn wagon....

Thanks to Uncle Josh for following Savannah around the whole time and helping her feed the animals...it really helped me!
My brother Jeff and his wife Amy and daughter Lily came too... Jeff is feeding a baby calf. The burrow was sure loud when he got ignored...what a riot!
Grandpa and baby Sydney...this was the first time everyone got to see Syd. Of course she was a big hit!
My brother Josh - age 10 holding Savannah, and my sister Jesslyn - age 14, sister Julie and her son Samuel all looking at the baby chicks.
Julie and her daughter Miranda feeding the llama...Miranda was so brave. I did not dare let them eat from my hand. I am such a chicken!
Even my 2 yr old is brave enough to feed them.....
Grandpa and Savannah: She really loves Grandpa! He totes her around and shows her everything there is to see!
Too bad Sydney is a little too young to appreciate the animals...oh, well! She was there for moral support anyway.

D-backs vs. Braves - August 9, 2008

This was Sydney's first sporting event...we went to the game with the Wright family. They know Joe from high school in Vernal and now they live in Buckeye, AZ. We always seem to get together at baseball games! It's lots of fun. Savannah was cheering and dancing and had a great time. Sydney was very well behaved and looked around at all the goings on.
The Wrights: Maggie 3 mo, Ryan, Cutter 5 yrs, Tiffany, and Peyton 3 yrs
Savannah and Joe....two peas in a pod!
The drama was that Maggie's bottle had been dropped somewhere along the way...luckily they sell EVERYTHING with a Dbacks logo...even baby bottles! What a life saver!

Sydney's Blessing Day - August 3, 2008

Our friends from Maricopa, the Hedges and the Lopezes, joined us for lunch before Syndey was blessed on Sunday, August 3rd. It was so fun to have them come and the guys helped in the blessing of Sydney.
All of us together...we can never get everyone looking at the same time!?
What a little princess!!! Sydney looked so beautiful in her pouffy little dress. She was very well behaved durning the blessing and it wore her right out!
Savannah was so worn out after playing with Anthony and Shaylin and then church that she zonked out on the couch right when we got home!
