San Clemente Beach

The last day we were in California we hung out at the Inn and the beach. We played "American Idol" Wii and had serious singing contests! Savannah played on the slide and tire swing and then after the kids and I took a nap, we went down to the beach. The waves were great for booige boarding. Joe was the only one that went all the way in the water. Grandma held Sydney while she slept and Savannah and I wadded in the waves. She was scared at first, but she got used to it. The loud train that went by scared her too....but Aunt Anna held her and helped her to be happy. It was not a warm or sunny day, but Joe said the water was perfect!

Game, Set, Match

Joe and Anna had a great time playing tennis two mornings. They played for over 3 hours! They were very evenly matched and wore each other out. It was fun for Joe to have someone to play tennis with. I am not very good!

Balboa Island

We went to the small island of Balboa to the beach. It was Sydney's first trip to the beach and Savannah loved it! The water is shallow and there are no waves. She played with Joe and Anna. She loves it when Joe throws her up high... 1--2--3! and she jumped over the ropes and played in the sand with Aunt Anna. Savannah's lips were even blue because she stayed in the water so long! Then we all went and ate frozen bananas and Balboa bars. (unique treats to Balboa island; bananas and ice cream dipped in chocolate and covered with sprinkles) Yummm!

Sea World, San Diego

We went to CA with Joe's parents and his sister Anna. They had a suite at the San Clemente Inn and let us stay with them. On Thursday we went to Sea World. We saw the shows and went on a few rides. Savannah & Joe fed the dolphins...that was Savannah's favorite part. She also loved touching the sting rays. But she did not like the Shamu show because the music was so loud it scared her and she did not like it when we got sprayed with water at the sea lion and seal show! Otherwise it was a lot of fun. Sydney spent all day in the Snugli with me and slept most of the time! It was a long day of fun and we were all sunburned when we got back to the Inn.

Sleeping beauties...

Aren't we so cute? They are so innocent and quiet when they are asleep!

Living room fort

Joe and Savannah made a fort in the living room for the first time. Savannah thought it was pretty cool. They had fun playing in it even though it was not very tall.

4th of July

This is the only picture we have of July 4th!? We went to Kim & Dave Bennion's house for a BBQ and swim party. Joe and Savannah swam and we all ate hot dogs. It was super hot so I mostly stayed inside with Sydney. She was not happy about taking this picture but she sure looks cute in her patriotic dress from the Glenns.

Happy Birthday, Joe!

Joe let savannah open his presents: a new basketball, golf shoes, and a DVD. We had friends over for dinner, cake an icecream. 6 adults and 6 little kids...it was a zoo!

Artwork with Grandma Glenn

Joe's mom came to help after baby Sydney arrived. She cooked, cleaned, held baby, and mostly entertained Savannah. She helped so much and I got to go on errands all alone! What a treat! Thanks Grandma Glenn!

Girls on wheels

First ride in our new double stroller...it is so nice to have!

Sidewalk chalk!

Savannah loves to make original art with her chalk out on our patio.

Paint!!!

Savannah loves to paint...it is a good inside activity for hot summer days when we can't go outside because of the heat.

Happy Father's Day!

I made a story book of Joe and Savannah for Father's day. It contains lots of the reasons that savannah loves her dad with the pictures to boot. He liked it and so does Savannah. He is such a great father and we really appreciate all he does for his 3 girls!

Go D-Backs!

Joe took Savannah for a daddy-daughter outing to the baseball game. She loves going to games! She cheers along with the crowd and laughs. She yells "Da-na-na-na-na-na....Charge!" (as she pumps her fist) and "Let's go D-backs!" (and claps in between). They had a great time even though our team lost.

Our 2 cuties!

It is so fun to have 2 girls....even though they are a handful!

Bright Eyes!

Oh, she's so sweet!

This is a great picture of little Sydney's perfect face! We are not biased at all!

Savannah's Big Bed!

Savannah got her new "big girl" bed on Saturday! She had such fun jumping on it before we took off the plastice and replaced her crib mattress. It is so soft and comfortable!

Grandma to the rescue!

Grandma Parker drove from Orem, Utah to help with Savannah and the new baby. It is so nice to have someone to take care of us while I heal!

First bath!

This is Sydney's first bath at home. She doesn't like being cold and undressed, but once she was wrapped up, she did fine. She even seems to like having her hair washed!
